Vertical Dual-Zone Tube Furnace: Operating Guide and Precautions
Vertical Dual-Zone Tube Furnace As a commonly used heat-treatment device in both laboratory and industrial settings, it offers advantages such as high efficiency, energy savings, and environmental friendliness. This article provides a detailed guide on the proper operation of vertical dual-zone tube furnaces to ensure their safe and stable performance while minimizing potential risks and issues.
I. Preparations Before Operation
Inspect the electric furnace’s power cord for damage; if any damage is found, replace it immediately.
Inspect the furnace body of the electric furnace for any damage or cracks; if found, repair or replace it promptly.
Ensure that no flammable materials are present around the electric furnace, and keep the work area clean and tidy.

II. Operating Steps
Connecting the Power: Insert the electric furnace’s power plug into a power outlet and turn on the power switch.
Set the temperature: According to experimental or production requirements, set the target temperature for each heating zone on the control panel. Be sure not to exceed the furnace’s maximum operating temperature.
To start heating: Press the heating button, and the electric furnace will begin operating. At this point, the temperature indicator on the control panel will gradually rise.
Temperature Maintenance and Timing: Once the set temperature is reached, the electric furnace will automatically maintain that temperature. To enable timing, simply set the desired duration, and the power will automatically shut off when the time expires.
Stopping the heating: After the experiment or production is completed, press the stop button, and the electric furnace will automatically cease heating.
Power Shutdown and Cooling: Turn off the power switch and unplug the power cord. Only open the furnace door and remove the sample after the furnace has cooled naturally.

III. Precautions
Electric furnaces shall be operated under the guidance of qualified personnel; unauthorized disassembly or repair is strictly prohibited.
Do not place heavy objects or clutter on the electric stove to avoid damaging the unit or impairing heat dissipation.
During operation, the furnace heating element should be inspected regularly for integrity; if any breaks are found, it must be replaced promptly.
