Precautions for Using a 1200 Tube-Type Electric Furnace, Single-Phase 220V

Read the product manual before use. The user’s power distribution system must be compatible with the operating requirements of the electric furnace. This electric furnace requires a single-phase 220 V power supply; the distribution wiring shall use copper conductors with a cross-sectional area of no less than 4 mm², and the circuit breaker on the distribution panel shall have a rating of no less than 32 A. The electric furnace enclosure must be equipped with reliable protective grounding or protective earthing.

Precautions for Use

  1. Read the product user manual before use;
  2. The user’s power distribution equipment shall be compatible with the operating requirements of the electric furnace. This electric furnace requires a single-phase power supply. For 220V power supply, copper conductors shall be used for distribution wiring, with a cross-sectional area of no less than 4 mm². 2 , the air switch of the distribution panel shall not be less than 32A. The enclosure of the electric furnace must be provided with reliable protective grounding or protective earthing.
  3. Check whether the air line assembly is installed correctly. It is recommended to use our company’s matching vacuum and flow control equipment.
  4. To extend the service life of the furnace tubes, the heating and cooling rates must be maintained within specified limits. Heating and cooling rate: room temperature ~500℃ ≤ 5℃/min, 500℃ ~ 800℃ ≤ 10℃/min, 800℃ ~ 1000℃ ≤ 5℃/min, 1000℃ ~ 1200℃ ≤ 2℃/min;
  5. When the furnace temperature is higher than Do not load or unload materials at 200°C. To prevent furnace tube rupture.
  6. When the furnace temperature is higher than Do not open the upper furnace body at 200°C. To prevent furnace tube rupture.
  7. When performing vacuum operations, pay attention to the sequence of steps. Before evacuating, ensure that the vacuum inlet is properly connected to the vacuum control system (vacuum pump). During evacuation, first start the vacuum pump; only when the furnace tube has reached a vacuum state should heating be initiated. When used in conjunction with our company’s vacuum control system, the vacuum pump can be maintained within a specified pressure range. It is prohibited to heat the electric furnace before starting the vacuum system, as this may damage the vacuum pump.
  8. Strictly comply with gas safety regulations. If you are unfamiliar with the safety regulations for gas use, please consult the gas supplier.
  9. Pay attention to the order in which gases are introduced. When an atmosphere needs to be introduced into the furnace tube, first verify that the inlet and outlet valves of the furnace tube are closed; if not, close them immediately. During gas introduction, first open the supply valve on the gas cylinder, then slowly open the inlet valve on the furnace tube. Once the pressure gauge indicates a slight positive pressure (do not exceed the gauge pressure 0.02 MPa); at this point, open the vent valve to establish a gas supply mode with both inflow and outflow (the vent outlet must not be sealed). If the furnace tube is first evacuated and then purged with gas, the vacuum pump should be shut down before introducing the gas. During gas purging, it is recommended that two personnel operate: one controls the inlet valve, and the other controls the outlet valve.
  10. When introducing the atmosphere, the pressure must not exceed the pressure indicated on the pressure gauge. 0.02 MPa. When the flow rate is excessive or the gas expands due to heating, the pressure will increase; excessive pressure can lead to rupture of the furnace tubes.
  11. The degree of vacuum achieved depends on the model and specifications of the vacuum pump selected.
  12. When operating a tubular electric furnace, support flanges must be installed at both ends. To prevent stress-induced rupture of the furnace tubes.
